Spellbinders Stitching DOM MAR-2023┃Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share a delicate and intricate inspirational card with a “Glimmering & Hand-Stitched” look featuring: "Nested Layered Stitched Petal" MAR-2023 Stitching Die Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, I lined up the cover plate die included in the die set over a piece of white cardstock, and then I used the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the card background. Next, I used the insert die to die-cut the centerpiece with the stitching details. And then, I lined up the insert die to die-cut the center part of the die-cutting centerpiece with the stitching details.

Lastly, I line up the die with the single petals to die-cut them from white cardstock. Once I finished the die-cutting process for the die-cutting pieces, I set the card background and the single petals aside to add the hand-stitching touch to the centerpiece.

So, for the hand-stitching touch, I used light pink DMC embroidery floss and a DMC #20 Tapestry Hand Needle. Thus, as soon as I finished adding the hand-stitching details to the centerpiece, I set it aside to add the hand-stitching touch to the single petals.

So, to add the hand-stitching over the single petals, I used the same needle number. However, I changed the embroidery floss with a different hue to create a contrast.

To continue, I put the hand-stitched petals aside while I got the card’s sentiment hot foil stamped over the center part of the card background. As for the card’s sentiment, I used one of the hot foil plates included in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club. So, after getting the hot foil stamping sentiment to the card background, I got the backing of the card background glued over a gold card panel to make the gold pop through the perforate details from the card background.

Lastly, I mounted the centerpiece with the hand-stitching details over the center part of the layered card background, and then I got each of the petals glued around the hand-stitched part. Then, to finish the card, I got the backing of the card panel adhered to an A2-size top folding white card base. Last but certainly not least, I used the Jewels Picker to glue down here and there some Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to add the card a little extra touch of shine.

And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate and intricate inspirational card with a “Glimmering & Hand-Stitched” look featuring: "Nested Layered Stitched Petal" MAR-2023 Stitching Die Of The Month Club by Spellbinders.
