Spellbinders MAY-2021 GOM┃Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a “Friendship” inspiration card made using the newest “Spot On Background & Sentiments” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

This month the glimmer club includes an outlined dot glimmer plate which can be used to hot foil the entire card panel background if its stamp it twice or three times for a better coverage. Therefore, to begin with as per usual with every hot foil kit club of the month, I started by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat. Then, I went ahead to turn on the glimmer hot foil platform. And, while my platform was heating, I went ahead to line up over one side of a white card panel the dotted glimmer plate.

Thus, as soon as I had the glimmer plate line up over the white card panel, I went ahead to cut a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using the Quick Trimmer. And, once the glimmer hot foil platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get tone side of the white cardstock panel foiled by running the platform through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Then, I repeated the same step to get the other side of the card panel foiled and so on and so forth until the card panel was completely foiled.

Moving on, right after that I had finished with the foil stamping for the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to trim off the edges from it a bit smaller than the card base and then, I went ahead to get it mounted over an A2 top folding white card base using craft foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension. Next, I went ahead to set if off aside while, I continued to get every single sentiment including in the set foiled over a large piece of white cardstock using the same glimmer foil color. The, as soon as I had the foiled, I’ve gone ahead to die-cut them out of the cardstock using the strip die also including in the set.

As, for the assembling for the card, I went ahead to ink up a large piece of white cardstock using and ink blending brush along with Sea Glass ink to add a subtle pop of color to it. Then, I used the large 6 dots die including in the set to die-cut a few large dots out of the inked cardstock, and once I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to create a pattern by mounting over the card panel a few of the die-cutting dots with small pieces of craft foam adhesive following the outlined dots created over the background, but to create a bit of contrast, I also decided to leave some of them plain white to create extra dimension to it (as you can see in the image above.)

Lastly, I’ve gotten mounted with craft foam adhesive the 3 of the sentiments to create the sentiment for the card on the right side of the card and then, I finished the card off by embellishing it with a floral cluster which I created using a hand stitched flower along with some die-cutting greenery and mounted afterwards on the upper left side of the card. By the way, the stitching bloom die is including on this month’ s Large Die of the Month and the greenery is a combination of dies from Mini Blooms and Sprigs Etched Dies and Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies.
NOTE: I used DMC 602, 3820 and 3708 to hand stitch the flowers.
And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Friendship” inspiration card made using the newest “Spot On Background & Sentiments” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders.
