Spellbinders Holiday Stitching Web Exclusive Collection┃Inspiration Card

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a delicate set of hand-stitched inspiration cards made with an “Embroidery” look showcasing the Limited Edition Layered Stitched Diamonds Etched Die Set by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right in to the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I went ahead to line up the line up the outlined die and its insert die included in Limited Edition Layered Stitched Diamonds Etched Die Set over an A2 size white card panel. Next, I proceeded to place them down over the die cut plate and then, I went ahead to run them through the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to add the beautiful, dotted and stitched diamond design to it.

Thus, after getting the die-cutting step for it, I proceeded to get the card sentiment stamped and heat embossing in the center part of the card panel using the MISTI Mini Stamp Tool along with Magic Powder Bag, Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded, and the Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool to complete the heat embossing step. Next, I used muted six strand cotton flosses for the hand-stitching step so, I proceeded to use one of the DMC #20 Tapestry Hand Needles along with a Coral six strand cotton floss hue and then, I followed the dotted design to do the hand-stitching on each corner from the card panel.

Moving on, after getting the hand-stitching step for each corner from the card panel, I went ahead to repeat once again the step for the center part of the card panel however, I used a muted Pink this time. That being said, after getting the full hand-stitched effect over the card panel, I proceeded to finish the card off by getting the backing of the card panel gluing down over an A2 size top folding white card base.

For the second example, I went ahead to repeat the same step for the hand-stitching process for all four card panel corners in the same way as I did in the first example.

But this time instead of using a Coral hue, I used a muted six strand floss in Evergreen/Blue-ish hue. So, after getting the hand-stitching done over the corners from the card panel, I proceeded to use the layering dies to cut them out from white cardstock.

So, as soon as, I had gotten them cut out from the white cardstock, proceeded to add the hand-stitching touch to the individual long and short triangles using a muted Mustard Yellow hue. And once, I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to put them off aside to continue the rest of the hand-stitching for the center of the card panel.

Moving on, for the center part, I used the same Coral hue that I used in the first example and then, I used the same Pink hue that I used as well in the first example to add the hand-stitching effect to the individual diamond shape. Nevertheless, after getting them all hand-stitched, I went ahead to get the individual long and short triangles gluing down to the card panel following the pattern and then, I also got gluing down the individual diamond shape in the center of it. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down the entire backing from the card panel on an A2 size top folding White card base along with the card sentiment; a card sentiment which, I’ve had previously created from another project.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate set of hand-stitched inspiration cards with an “Embroidery” look showcasing the Limited Edition Layered Stitched Diamonds Etched Die Set by Spellbinders.
