Spellbinders Glimmer Essentials Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you a Glimmer Foiling set of cards made showcasing the latest duo Glimmer Essentials Collection. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how to make them ↓

Faith Essentials Duo Lines Rectangle Card

The Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangles Glimmer Hot Foil Plate includes 8 glimmer duo lines glimmer plates so therefore, I’d like to mention that this are meant to work in conjunction with Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. With that said, start by setting up your Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine on your crafting table then, turn on the glimmer hot foil platform. Thus, while the platform is heating up, go ahead and line up the largest glimmer plate from the set over an A2 white card panel. Next, create a hinge with a piece of washitape and then, cut a piece larger enough to cover the glimmer plate from Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using your Quick Trimmer.

Once the platform is ready to foil, go ahead and get the first foiling step done. Next, line up over a second A2 white card panel the next larger glimmer plate from the set and repeat the same steps as the previous to get the foiling done over it. If you prefer, you can repeat the foiling in the same card panel for an one-layer design but, if you like to add dimension to your cards then, do it separately as I did for this example to create an extra dimensional design by trimming off the edges from each card panel and by mounting them in layers with craft mounting tape to an A2 top folding white card base.

Lastly, once both foiled card panel are mounted on the card base, go ahead, and embellish the card by adding any sentiment, floral design, or any focal point of your choice from many of the array of collection by Spellbinders. Or you can follow this design by using Foliage Border Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and Faith Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to make the floral focal point and sentiment however, I would like to mention that to make this particular card, instead of using the glimmer circle included and the set I used a smaller glimmer plate from Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Circles Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Other than that, go ahead and finish the card by mounting the focal point of your choice and add an extra pop of shine by gluing down with liquid glue jewels or sequins.

For You Essentials Duo Lines Square Card

The second example has basically the same concept except for the size of the card so therefore, go ahead and get the foiling done over 2 white card panel using the 2 largest glimmer plates from Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Squares Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

Then, trim off the edges from each of the foiled card panel close to the duo lines and mount the largest panel with craft mounting tape to a square 4-1/4’’ x 4-1/4’’ inches white card base. Next, mount the second card foiled card panel with craft foam tape to add more dimension and go ahead to embellish the card by adding a sentiment or any focal point of your choice.

But, if you want to follow this design then, go ahead and get the foiling done for the second card panel before you mount it to the card base. Therefore, use the largest glimmer plate from Especially For You Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set which by the way fits perfectly inside the second-to-largest square duo lines glimmer plate. That said, finish the card off by mounting the foiled card panel with craft foam tape to the card base and by adding a few die-cutting flowers and greenery and then glue down jewels too, to add a touch of sparkle.
