Spellbinders DOML & EOM AUG-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you clean and simple inspiration card set made with a yummy “Summery & Strawberry” look showcasing: AUG-2022 "Strawberry Patch" Large Die of the Month Club and "Intertwined Lattice" Embossing Folder of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit includes a whole lot of cutting dies that creates a basket full of strawberries or a simple branch full of strawberries. So, having that said, to cut out the strawberries and leaves, I went ahead to line up each cutting die included in the kit over pieces of Phone Booth Color Essentials Cardstock, Rainforest Color Essentials Cardstock, Fern Color Essentials Cardstock, Mirror Gold Cardstock, and White cardstock. Next, I proceeded to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and once, I had all pieces cut out from the colored cardstock pieces, I continued to put together the strawberries and leaves. Then, to add a little dimension to the basket, I went ahead to cut out a few more but this time from plain White cardstock.

Thus, for the card layout, I went ahead to add a subtle texture to a small white card panel using one of the glimmer plates included in Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangles Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and by following the embossing instructions from the die cut machine. So, once I had finished adding the texture to it, I proceeded to get the backing of it mounted to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, used my Precision Tip Scissors to cut out the center pieces from the white baskets and them, I got them layered under the gold die-cutting basket adding that way a little dimension but just to the frame. Moving on, after getting that step done, I went ahead to place some strawberries inside the basket and then, I got the basket gluing down to the card. Lastly, I proceeded to get it embellished by adding some small flowers and to get the card finish off, I added some tiny Yellow jewels and the For You die-cutting sentiment. As for the sentiment, I used the top layer from one of the dies included in this month’s Small Die of the Month Club.

For the second example, I used the branch instead of the basket, so to do that, I went ahead to cut out the strawberries, leaves and branch from the same cardstock hues that I used in the previous example. Also, I got cut out some small flowers from white cardstock. By the way, the club kit includes a die to cut out the small flowers.

Thus, once I had all die-cutting pieces, I proceeded to put the strawberry branch together and then, I put aside to add texture to a large piece of White cardstock. So, to do that, I used this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club. Having that being said, right after that I had finished adding the texture to it, I went ahead to trim down a smaller front card panel and then, I used the debossed side of it to make this example.

As for the card layout, I went ahead to get the backing of the debossing card panel adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base and then, I used the layered die-cutting pieces to put together the strawberry branch over the front card panel. Lastly, I went ahead to add some jewels to the flowers just like, I did on the previous example and then, to finish the card off, I used one of the stamps and coordinating die included in this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club to add the sentiment to it.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this simple inspiration card set with a “Summery & Strawberry” look showcasing: AUG-2022 "Strawberry Patch" Large Die of the Month Club and "Intertwined Lattice" Embossing Folder of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
