Shimmer Snowflake Season's Greetings Cards

Shimmer Snowflake Season’s Greetings Cards

Hello Friends! On today’s blog post, I’d love to share with you these two Season’s Greetings cards that, I’ve made featuring the new SSS Shimmer Snowflake Die from the Diecember release by Simon Says Stamp so, without further ado please keep on reading below ↓

To begin with, I started by cutting two slightly smaller than an A2 standard size card panels out a SSS Fog Card Stock sheet. Next, I lined up the new SSS Shimmer Snowflake Die in the center of the card panels and, I ran both through the die-cutting machine. Then, I ran once again the snowflake but, this time to cut 2X out of white card stock.

Once, the die-cutting were done, I removed the inner part of the snowflake and, I adhered a piece of acetate with double-sided tape to the backing of the first card panel because, I created a shaker card as you can see in the picture above. So, after adhering the acetate, I adhered lots of foam mounting tape around the snowflake to create dimension and enough room for the shaker elements could had movement. Then, I added lots of super chunky glitter pieces in the center of the snowflake and, right after that, I peeled off the paper from the foam mounting tape and, I carefully adhered the backing of the card panel to a top folding white card base. To finish the card off, I flipped over the card and, I inlaid the first white snowflake die-cutting over the acetate. (By the way, I used liquid glue to adhere the snowflake over the acetate.)

For the second example, I carefully adhered the backing of the second card panel with foam to a top folding white card base. Then, I inlaid the light gray snowflake back into its place and, to add even more dimension, I adhered the second white snowflake die-cutting on top of the light gray snowflake however, I only adhered the center of the white snowflake with liquid glue to it because, I curled up the tips of the white snowflake as you can see in the picture above.

To finish both cards off, I gold heat embossed on a piece of white card stock 2X a sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 Stamp Set with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder which, right after the heat embossing, I die-cut them out of the white card stock using; one of the SSS Sentiments Labels Dies no necessary as, I could had done with scissor or the paper trimmer but, I wanted them to be the same size. As, a finishing touch, I adhered Jewels Mix here and there for a Shiny/Sparkly look! So, that’s all for today friends, I hope that these cards featuring the new; SSS Shimmer Snowflake Die inspire you to give them a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts.
