Partial Cut Floral Frame Greeting Cards

Partial Cut Floral Frame Greeting Cards

Happy Sunday, friends! Today, I’d like to share with you the cards that, I created using the Partial Cut Frame from the exclusive STAMPtemberⓇ release by Pinkfresh Studio for Simon Says Stamp. So…without further ado, please keep on reading this post ↓

To begin with, I started by prepping a Strathmore Bristol Smooth card panel with the Embossing Powder Tool as, I was going to white heat embossing the card by stamping the Floral background stamp from the Partial Cut Frame with WOW! Embossing Ink Pad and Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. Once, the heat embossing was melted, I water colored the flowers and leaves with a combination of a minty-green, pinks, and purple grays + a touch of yellow for the center of each of the flowers as, you can see in the picture shown above. Next, when all the water coloring was done, I set the card panel aside to dry and, I repeated the same steps to watercolor a second card panel for my second card which, you’ll see down below.

Right after, when the water colored card panels were dry, I ran each of them through the die-cutting machine along with the coordinated die which is included in the set. (By the way, you really can leave as is by skipping the die-cutting part. However, I purchased the die as, I really love the partial die-cutting look.) So…right after when I was done with the partial die-cutting part, I trimmed the edges of card panel slightly smaller than a standard A2 size card, and I heat embossed a sentiment on each of the card panels with Metallic Platinum Embossing Powder.

The Smile you’ve this sentiment is included in the stamp set, and the You’re Amazing sentiments is from the Hanging Florals Stamp Set. Although, I love all sentiments included in the set, I always like play with other sentiments from my stash.

Right afterwards, when the sentiments were heat embossed, I decided to add a touch of sparkle to the cards by adhering Moonshine Sequins here and there, and by adding Glossy Accent to the berries for an extra shiny look.

At this point my card panel were ready to adhere to their bases. So, to finish the card off, I carefully adhered each of them with narrow double-sided tape as, I did want the pieces that, I was going to curl up out the card panel to get adhesive and stick to the card base. With that being said friends, that’s all I have for today, I hope you were inspired with the cards that; I had shared today. Below, you’ll find the supply list for the products used for this post ↓
