Layered Stamping Over Hot Foil Stamping┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this clean and simple looking set of “Friendship” inspiration cards made with layered stamping over hot foil stamping using a full array of products by The Stamp Market. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, for the first example I made a one-layer card so to do that first, I went ahead to get the hot foil stamping first over a white card panel using Painterly Bouquet Hot Foil Plate. Along with this hot foil plate, I used Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform to make the hot foil stamping process along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass. Also, I used a piece from the same foil roll to get the hot foil stamping done for the card sentiments. And, for the card sentiments, I used Good Greetings Hot Foil Plates.

Once, I had the hot foil stamping done over the card panel, I went ahead to place it inside my MISTI Stamp Tool to get the layered stamping started. Then, for the layered stamping I used: Painterly Bouquet Stamp Set along with Blush Pink, Bubblegum, Papaya, Coral, Cherry Kisses, Lipstick, Melon, Rusty, Citrine, Leafy, Tropical Teal and, Island inks. As for the layered stamping, that step takes a little bit of time but it’s pretty simple to follow as the stamp set has a layering guide and every layer it’s marked with numbers and letters to tell you what goes with. Having that said, after finishing the layered stamping process, I went ahead to trim off the 1/4 of an inch from each side of the card panel using my Comfort Paper Trimmer and then, I used one of the dies including in Good Greetings Hot Foil Plates to cut out the sentiment right in the bottom part from the card panel because, I wanted to replace it with one of the hot foil stamped sentiments that I did at the beginning. Thus, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel adhere with double-side adhesive over an A2 top folding white card base and then, to finish the card off, I’ve got inlaid the card sentiment into place.

Moving on, the second example it’s basically the same design therefore, it has dimension as I did the layered stamping separately on a large piece of white cardstock and then, I used Painterly Bouquet Dies as well to cut out every stamped image from the cardstock. This stamp set includes the stem and the floral stamp images however, does not include the outlined stamp image as, it is intended to be used for a no-line stamping or using it with the coordinating foil plate.

Or use it in combination just like I did for this example, as I went ahead to mount each die-cutting image following the outlined hot foil stamping image, but a little bit offset to add a sketchy outlined gold shadow to it. By the way, I used square foam adhesive to mount each image to create the floral bouquet. Having that being said, I went ahead to trim off 1/2 of an inch from each side of the card panel and then, to add even more dimension, I went ahead to mount the back of it with craft foam adhesive over an A2 top folding white card base.

Next, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use the bow image including in the set to get it stamp and gold heat emboss it as well. Also, I added dimension to one of the card sentiment and then, I’ve got it mounted on the lower right side of the card. In the image above, you can take a look for how both cards look with and without dimension.
