Keep Going┃Inspiration Card

Keep Going┃Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Crafters! Today, I’d like to share with you this slim and girly “Keep Going” card that, I’ve created with the just released Keep Going Stamp Set & Keep Going Die sets by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump to the step by step on how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started by creating as usual a slim white card base out one 8X11 inches heavy weight white cardstock sheet. Then, I set the card base aside and I inked up a W 3-7/8 X H 9 inches Strathmore 300 Series Smooth Bristol card panel using my most used Cloud Mixable Stencil with the following distress oxide inks Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Tattered Rose to create the pink sky. Therefore, after I’ve got the inking done over the card panel, I ran it through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with the Slim Ornate Banner to create the details for over it. So, right after I was done creating the details, I mounted the card panel with craft foam and double-sided tape to the white card base.

Moving on, after the card base was done, I set it aside and I started the stamping. For the stamping, I placed inside my stamping tool a Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor card panel, and I’ve got stamp the floral cluster and the rainbow images from the Keep Going Stamp Set with Skeleton Leaves Amalgam Ink. Right after I was done with the stamping, I removed the watercolor card panel, and to keep it simple I water-colored the cluster in using the color combination that I used to create the sky. To add pop of colors, I’ve got the rainbow water-colored in using pastels Yellow, Mint and Light Blue hues as well as Green for the leaves.

Therefore, after I had the water-coloring done, I set it aside to let it dry. In the meantime, I proceeded to heat emboss over a piece of white card cardstock the Keep Going and a small sentiment included in the stamp set. Then, after I had the heat embossing done, I used the Keep Going word die included in the Keep Going Die Set to die-cut the word out of the cardstock, and as for the small sentiment, I trimmed it down on a strip form and I adhered it down with double-sided tape to a larger strip of gold cardstock creating that way a gold frame around it.

Right after when the sentiments were finish, I set them aside and I lined up over the watercolor card panel the coordinated dies for the floral cluster and the rainbow then, I ran them though the die-cutting machine to die-cut them out from the card panel. To add an extra touch of gold, I ran once again the rainbow and the floral cluster as well as the keep going word to die-cut them out from gold cardstock. Once, the die-cutting pieces were done, I started the assembling for the card so, as for the assembling you can see how I exactly assembled every single piece in the image above. However, in the image below you can take a better look of the gold shadow created with the gold die-cutting pieces.

It might not seem much at glance to add the extra die-cutting gold pieces but trust me that this simple touch of gold shadow makes a big difference in real life.

Lastly, to finish the card off I covered the rainbow and the floral cluster with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen, and I added Glossy Accent to the center of one out of the 2 flowers from the cluster. Finally as finishing touches, I glued down with liquid glue here and there a few sequins and a tied bow that I had previously created with a large piece of Metallic Gold Thread. With that said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created today’s “Keep Going” card. As always, I appreciate the time that takes you to read my blog posts.
