Die-Cutting out of Heat Embossing Greeting Card

Die-Cutting out of Heat Embossing Greeting Card

Happy Sunday dear Crafters! Today I’d like to share with you a card that I’ve made a few weeks ago for the recently debut of WOW! Embossing Powder at Hochanda TV. There was a wonderful selection of embossing powder sets shown at Hochanda TV just like the one that I used to create this card called Iced Gem Embossing Powder Set which includes a selection of pastel colors that happen to be the perfect soft touch to any project. So, without further ado let’s jump into this blog post ↓

To begin with, I started by heat embossing six different white card panels with each of the powders from the Iced Gem Embossing Powder Set. Right after the heat embossing, I set them aside to give them a little time to cool down. In the meantime, I created the card panel for the card. For the card panel, I dried emboss a white card panel with a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. Then, I ran through the die-cutting machine Flower Pot Card Die to die-cut the pot base for the flowers out of white card stock. Once the die-cutting was done, I folded the pot, and I adhered its edges also, I decided to add a little more interest by white heat embossing over it with the Criss Cross Background Stamp Set, and Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder as you can see in the picture above. After the white heat embossing, I ran the scallop die to die-cut the top edge part of the pot out of white card stock, and I adhered it to it. Lastly, to finish the flower pot off, I ran through the die-cutting machine the variety of card panels that I had previously heat embossed with the powders from the Iced Gem set to die-cut the flowers and leaves out of them. Right after when all die-cuttings were done, I trimmed the edges of the dry embossed white card panel a bit smaller than an A2 size card base, and I adhered the backing of the pot to it with liquid glue. Then, I adhered the leaves, and the flowers creating a little dimension in between them as I adhered some of them with liquid glue and some with foam mounting tape as you can see in the picture above.

Finally, to finish the card off, I adhered the card panel to an A2 size top folding white card base, and as a finishing touch I adhered a sentiment that I heat embossed with the blue pastel color from the Thanks to you Stamp Set which, I adhered with foam mounting tape to balance the dimensional flowers, and to add a touch of shine I adhered three little crystal clear sequins on the other side of the sentiment as you can see in the picture above.
So, that’s all for today friends. I hope you give this design a try! Also, you can check the video over here at → Hochanda TV to see this card, and many more created by me and the WOW!
