Cosmos Bunch┃Encouragement Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very detailed “Encouragement” floral inspiration card made using Cosmos Bunch Stamp Set, Cosmos Bunch Die and Cosmos Bunch Layering Stencil Set from the latest December-2021 Stamp, Dies, Stencil & Hot Foil Release by Pinkfresh Studio. Along with this beautiful set, I used Blanket Stitched Rectangles Die Set to create the die-cutting stitched frame + Essentials: Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die to add a die-cutting and textured background to the front card panel. Besides that, I’ve used Curvy Leaves Die Set to add an extra leafy and completed look to the floral cluster. And, last but not least, Metallic Pearls: Silver and DMC Essential Metallics Diamant Metallic Thread in metallic silver to add an extra pop of metallic accent. And of course, PFS- Inks to ink up the floral cluster. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started off by inking up the floral cluster. A floral cluster, which I’ve had gotten previously stamp and gold heat embossing over a white card panel using; embossing ink, gold embossing powder and the large floral cluster stamp image including in Cosmos Bunch Stamp Set. Next, right after that I had finished the stamping and heat embossing proceed done, I’ve gone ahead to line up the card panel over my Stencil Mat and then, I proceeded to get the layered inking done.

For the inking process, I went ahead to line up over the white card panel the stencil #1 from Cosmos Bunch Layering Stencil Set. So, on and so forth, I continued the layered stenciling to ink up the floral cluster using each stencil from the set plus, a few ink blending brush and the following color ink combination. As, for the color combination, I used Peach Fuzz Ink and Ballet Slipper Ink to ink up both layers for the large flowers. Candy Violet Ink and Stargazer Ink to ink up both layers of the small flowers. And, Evergreen Ink + a touch of Stargazer Ink to ink up the leaves

I used this color combination striving to achieve a muted water-colored look. Having that said, after getting the ink blending done through each stencil from the set, I went ahead to use the coordinating Cosmos Bunch Die to cut out the floral cluster out of the card panel. At the same time, while I was doing the die-cutting process for the floral cluster, I went ahead as well to cut out some leaves out of translucent vellum and glitter cardstock using the medium size die including in Curvy Leaves Die Set. Also, I cut out the stitched frame out of white cardstock using the largest and medium size dies including in Blanket Stitched Rectangles Die Set. And last but not least to finish the die-cutting process off, I went ahead to cut the diagonal striped card background using white cardstock and Essentials: Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die.

Moving on, for the card assembling, I went ahead to adhere down with narrow double-sided adhesive the stitched die-cutting frame over the striped die-cutting panel. Next, I added Foam Strips to the back of the die-cutting and layered frame to raise its dimension and then, I’ve got its backing adhered down over an A2 size side folding white card base. Then, I’ve got the floral cluster mounted over the card lower-center side of the card using craft foam adhesive to add more dimension to the card. Lastly, I went ahead to layer the translucent over glittery leaves clusters and then, I’ve got them tucked in under the upper side of the floral cluster.
NOTE: I’d like to mention that I created a second inked floral cluster to embellish a matching card envelope as well. So, to do that, I used whatever ink I had leftover in the ink blending brushes for a second-generation floral inked look.

To finish the card off, I went ahead to add extra metallic touches to it by getting glue down some Metallic Pearls: Silver and by adding a piece of DMC Essential Metallics Diamant Metallic Thread in metallic silver. Also, I used one of the sentiments including in set to get the card sentiment stamped and heat embossing over a strip of white cardstock.
