Circle Butterfly Shaker Die┃Inspiration Card

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very delicate “Shaped-Shaker” inspiration card made using; Circle Butterfly Shaker Die, Spread Your Wings Combo and Wrapped Bouquet Combo stamp and dies by Waffle Flower from their latest, May 2021 Social Butterfly Collection. Along with them, I also used Lacy Circles Die set to create the shaped base. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started off by creating the shaker focal point for the card, so therefore, I went ahead to line up the 2 dies including in Circle Butterfly Shaker Die set over a large piece of white cardstock, and once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to get the die-cutting process once for the base and twice for the detailed die-cutting piece which is the one that creates the shaker shape.

Thus, to create the shaped-shaker window, I went ahead to glue down one of the detailed die-cutting pieces using, Bearly Art Mini 2 fl oz Precision Craft Glue + Tip Kit over its base and then, I went ahead to set it off aside. Meanwhile, I went ahead to adhere a piece of acetate to the backing of the second die-cutting circle and then, I also added skinny pieces of craft foam adhesive to raise dimension.

So, as soon as I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead add glitter and to remove the backing of the adhesive so, I could finish the shaker window off by mounting its base over it.

Moving on, right after that I had finished it off, I went ahead to get the embellishing done by mounting on the left side of it a stamped and water-colored butterfly which I’ve had previously created using one of the stamp images and coordinating die from Spread Your Wings Combo. And, a layered sentiment over the right side which I’ve had also previously stamped and heat embossing over a piece of white cardstock using one of the stamp images and coordinating die from Wrapped Bouquet Combo.

Lastly, after finishing the embellishment, I went ahead to finish the card off by adhering down the butterfly shaker shape over a stitched die-cutting circle which I’ve had previously created out of white cardstock using third-to-last die from Lacy Circles Die which right afterwards I’ve got mounted with craft foam adhesive to add dimension over a scallop die-cutting circle which by the way, I’ve had also created using the next die from the same set.

Last but not least, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to glue down around the circle with liquid glue some jewels to add a pop of shine to it! And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate “Shaped-Shaker” inspiration card.
