Autumn Greetings Card

Autumn Greetings Card

Hello There! As we are heading to Autumn also known as Fall here in America. I would love to share with you another Autumn Thankful Greeting card. Featuring once again the Thankful Leaves Stamp and Die set by Concord & 9th. This card is different from the one in my previous blog. Because, for this card I used Distressed Oxide Inks to color the leaves and I only used the detailed part of the leaf creating a background for the card panel. That being said, let's get started.

Inked panel

First, I inked up a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface that measured W 4.0 X H 5.25 with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks by Rangers. The idea was to achieve Fall colors combining the following Inks.
Mustard Seed
Crushed Olive
Carved Pumpkin
Ground Espresso
After, they were all blend in I set the panel aside to let the inks dry out before the die cutting.

Die Cutting

Second, for the die cutting I used a die cutting machine and the Thankful Leaves Die to cut out the leaves from the inked panel. As, I was going to create a background with the leaves I decided to make the cuts in all 4 corners of the panel in different angles creating a pattern with them. But, leaving the center open for the sentiment.
Then, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Thankful Leaves stamp set.

Embossing and Embellishment

Third, for the stamping/embossing sentiment I used the Clear Embossing Ultra Slow Drying Pad by WOW along with the Gold Embossing Powder by Rangers.
And, I use Rose Gold Thread from my stash and Assorted Moonshine sequins by Simon Says Stamp as embellishments for this card.

Layout

Fourth, I started the layout for the card panel. Layering the leaves was an easy step as I already had the pattern when I did the die cutting part. So, I adhered the backed of every detailed leaf with liquid glue. Then, I adhered the thread underneath the sentiment.Last but not least I adhered the backed of the sentient with foam tape to the card panel. To finish it up I adhered the card panel to a white card base and I added a few of the Assorted Moonshine sequins to the white spaces on the panel.
